Singapore’s Pink Dot became a Pink Patch of Love!

Finally back home from a weekend in Singapore, where I was invited by friends to Pink Dot 2015. Possibly the first time I’m involved in a mass LGBTQ rights event.
Had my mexican-pink shirt on, snagged a pink-light torch for myself, overwhelmed by the emotions of a large turnout (and eye candy I’m sorry gomen), destroyed my chub boy legs on a giant trampoline. Stuff like that. All in all, a pretty smooth running as a carnival day. I was noted the lack of evangelist crashers this time.
Best moment?
Overheard in elevator lobby about
furious/Snares’ suit: “Tina Turner lion?”
♪ we don’t need another foxy
we don’t need any more wolf bums
all we want is lion beyond
the furrydrome ♫
(Also: post-event dance kombat ended with Tutu Lion vs Indian Bear)

With the jellyfish, tentacle balloons, I was wondering if they were going for a “sotong” thing (older Malay slang, for a soft effeminate “squid”).

(Party don’t end just ‘cause the pink torches are off!)
Also went with / spotted for Snares while he had the suit on and graced everyone with a moment of just-go-with-it surreality, since His Pinkness Steven’s Lion couldn’t come. (Man that should be a thing next year.)

Technically a legalized demonstration gathering, so as a Malaysian I’m not actually allowed to be part of the patch of pink light on the Singaporean map. (I see Tweets reporting a few people pulled for questioning by the authorities afterwards.)
