The search is over! I know the corpse of the old house is barely even cold at this point, but I've found a place I like and agreed to their counter on it so I'll be moving into my house around the end of July if all goes well. Mom had no say in this one, hasn't even seen it, which is the way I want it. The payments will be less than what I had before since I'm not in a high fire zone anymore too. Dropping the rent I pay here and mom picking up HOA and utilities on the condo I can make it work easily carrying two mortgages again until we finally scrape the condo off me, whenever that turns out to be. Only thing left to make it through escrow is getting the inspections taken care of but I doubt they'll turn up anything that breaks this deal.
