want me to mentor you?

HI GUYS I'm just drinking a coffee from my giant fox mug about to start a commission that I'm excited for and I realized I just hit 7k followers!! AGHH I am so thankful of all you wonderful people. I seriously appreciate everything <3 MWAH
on another note I've been experimenting with new styles and I think I've learned a lot from it actually. been really loving art lately yeeeyy. That being said, would any of you guys be interested in being taught by me? I could make a little lesson plan and kind of do my studies alongside you and offer you critique, share my techniques/tips and give you little assignments and stuff.
If you're interested, let me know! I would probably have to charge a small fee (whether it's a one time fee or a weekly/monthly thing, let me know what you prefer) just because of the time it'll take up, but I would really love to try! I could have a small class or something or just one on one sessions if you prefer. I need to workout details obviously but if I get enough interested I will make another journal and open up a class :)
If you could let me know how much you would expect to pay per month (or per lesson), and also if there's something specific you want to improve, I would sincerely appreciate it! <3 thanks so much guys!

I just dont have a tablet. xD
This seems like a great long term investment, but this all depends (and I hate, hate having to give a vague answer on this part) on whether your offering professional critique on assignments, or if your going so far as to offer streaming classes.
I dunno about pricing (thank you economy for warping my price sense haha), but going with what you mentioned above I think 30 per month, assuming a weekly lesson/critique of some sort. Price wise though, intensity of the lessons/critiques is key here, I'm working part time and I'm actually willing to do stuff even more intensively (like 3 times a week, in that scenario, pricing I'd think maybe 60 for a month)... but I dunno if you have the time for that, might be too much.
For the subject... well lemme stew on that for a bit, there's a lot I want to do but theres only so much I can cram in lol.
I think my biggest issues are anthro anatomy and shading, although to be honest I'd be willing to learn anything and everything :)
Perhaps maybe you could do it like a weekly lesson for an hour, then give an assignment or something for practice? You could charge per weekly lesson or do a monthly charge that includes 4 sessions. Not sure haha!
From the looks of it you won't have any shortage of students lol
I think having a more structured/learning setting would really help; especially having a mentor (whose art I adore) that could offer advice/critique/encouragement.
ya, i could always go for learnin more techniques~ <3
Art is a life long hobby of mine. As a child I insisted it stay a hobby and avoided classrooms for it, because I didn't want to put institution on what I felt was free.
As a busy adult, I regret that now... Where my skills atrophy and pale in comparison to my friends.
A "class" of sorts, structured online, would be really helpful to me.
It helps of course that your style is fantastic and I love it!
That estimate only seriously considers how much to charge so that you get a worthy living off of it. If it were much more than $10, it would be out of my budget.
I can almost guarantee that on my current wage and lifestyle, I couldn't afford to pay you a course like this would actually be worth. I can only say that if I could, I would and would benefit from it.
Also, if you were offering one-hour mentoring sessions one-on-one, sort of like a doctors' office or therapy setting, they could take less of the form of a "structured lesson plan" and sort of more of a "let's get to know each other and work on some stuff" sort of thing, helping the other person get better.
It helps of course that online canvases exist where you can share; If the other person has digital tools, you two can literally work side-by-side, with a chat system of sorts.
So if you start something up that would be onexone then I would be interested depending on price xD
I can tell you my experiences beforehand though? I can't spend a fortune, but I am willing to spend some money cause it's one on one and unlimited contact and such. I'd also be willing to pay less for less frequent tutoring or like have a flexible class/hours paid kind of thing?
45 minute horse riding lessons - $45 ($1/min, private owned stable)
5, 1 hour violin sessions per month - $80 (small music store, not brand name)
4, 3 hour charcoal drawing lessons - $80 (that was at an education center though lol)
(I'm just a writin' bear and not an artin' bear, but I ADORE your style and use of color, so this is more of a "woooo go team" reply.)
My answer is: heck yes. You're amazing. And I'd like to be able to make artwork of that quality
The group class is 20 dollars monthly and you become part of an email group where once a week I write up a lesson, include a bunch of examples and helpful information and tips I've gathered, and create an assignment that I will personally review to make sure that you're understanding the material.
