NYC Trip

What's new pussy cat???
First of all, this isn't the first NYC trip I've done. This is the third time I been to NYC as a vacation or a trip that is planned.
We got there about 6:45am on Friday. Senko's friend met us up about 7am. We did a lot of walking. I did not want to drag the luggage around for hours with us. We walked through Time Square and passed a few places, like Radio City Music Hall. Even walked to the edge of Central Park, but we did not go in it at this time. We finally got to the Argentine Consulant(sp) so Senko can do what he had to do there, but turned out something was wrong with the internet in that block and they couldn't do what Senko needed to get done. Which was the main reason for this trip. After that we had lunch at some place nearby and it wasn't bad. A couple hours of walking around some more then we finally went to his friend's place. Once we got back to the house, we settled in and got ready for dinner. We ate at a local diner and the food was pretty good. After that we just went back to the house and chilled.
For Saturday, we went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Both places were awesome, but I was more fascinated with Ellis Island then the Statue. There is ALOT of history here at Ellis Island and they have lots of info and pictures at The Island on the happenings that went on there. It's also pretty cool to see the restoration that went on there to become the museum it is. I, personally, can probably do one whole day at Ellis Island just for myself. We didn't get to see all the stuff there and they have 3 floors of stuff. After we left there, it was raining lightly out. I knew I should of worn pants, hate wearing shorts in the rain. On the way home we picked up some pizza at Oregano Joe's and brought it back to the house. The pizza was pretty good too.
Sunday was a solemn day for us. We went to The 9/11 Memorial and got pictures of the 2 holes with rushing water for where the 2 main towers were. Also got a few pix of One World Trade Center AKA Freedom Tower. That thing was TALL. It looks really cool. A lot of glass for the outside and when you see pix of it, you can see the reflection of the sky and it looks like it is all one thing. After that we went to Battery Park where Senko went nuts over more flags. It was pretty hot out this day. After Battery Park, we walked so Senko can find the Ghostbuster's station. But the walking got too much, so we took the subway back to Central Park, so we can get pictures at the Balto Statue. This wasn't my first time at the statue. I saw it 12 years ago, March. But, still. Every time I see it, it is like WOW!!! That statue is awesome and for what it represents. I dressed up inSabre, only as a partial and got some pix at Balto. After the statue, we walked passed The Zoo in the park. Place was crowded and had to wait in line for the bathroom. We then walked down 5th avenue and ended up at FAO Schwartz. This place was crazy big. 3 floors of stuff, even had their own Build-A-Bear inside. Also saw the piano from the movie BIG that Tom Hanks is in. We finally headed back towards Time Square, but it was still too hot, so I did not get any pix in suit there. We headed towards the station and headed back home.
So, we might head back to NYC in October, when it is cooler and maybe less wet. Hopefully get more fursuit pix done, too. Sorry about the long journal, but if anyone has a chance to go to NYC, do it. Especially go see the Balto Statue in Central Park.
