I'm probably going to get flak for this, but I don't see a parity between paying $40 for a non colored sketch when there was an option for a $40 fully colored chibi last month. $25 - $30, maybe? However, its your decision after all and I'll respect it either way.

I look at it as the difference between doing something digitally vs. doing a physical piece of art. Plus as I noted above, that's the low side of average for sketches done at-con. I often recommend to my friends that they charge $40-50 per character when doing convention sketches, since they have such a limited amount of time to get them done, and travel expenses, and they have to still manage their table if they have one, and if they want to have any time for fun for themselves at the con rather than bury themselves in a mountain of work.

Okay, that's something I can agree on if time constraints are involved and they have a table at the con like you said. In this regard though KittyDee only stated she wanted spending money for a walk about with her friends. She isn't managing a table as far as I know and I'm also going to assume she has her major travel expenses and accommodation paid off.

So, she could charge $30 if she's doing them digitally (if she decides too), hopefully have a few more buyers at the lower price point to gain a little bit extra cash for bus fare and food, draw a handful of the pics before her trip, and finish the rest at her leisure when she gets back. I'd know buy a digital sketch if it was around that price and she did say she wanted feedback. I can't speak for everyone though.
