Sometimes it's not the triumph of technique and elegance, but the triumph of the outrageous and memorable.
Even being a punchline to thousands of jokes may be better than being completely obscure / forgotten.
I don't know if my input's worth that much. Even if I'd been in this thing since 1998, I'm still halfway around the planet away from where the actual furry stuff happened.
