I have experienced a similar experience. We all think about our future; where we will live, who we live with, what occupations and goals we want to achieve and accomplish. Also, we’re all searching for a meaning to our lives. We have to because no matter who we are…no one knows why the reason they are here. It’s just something we have to find as we go along; it’s different for everyone. There are many reasons to live as there are people in the world. So, the reason for being born, the reason we’ve been put here in the world…it’s something we all have to find for ourselves. So, we search within our hopes and dreams, our work, the people that are in our lives, and everything we do. And even the thing we find seems hazy or unclear, even if it’s so tiny you can hardly see it, the important thing is that you always have a reason for living. As long as I’m alive that’s what I want to have a reason to go on. You know you can always find one if you know where to look…the people in my life give me a reason for living.

Interesting - all my life I've been told you shouldn't make other people what you're living for, but at the same time I guess a lot of people do that.

Well, the idea is that if you have a rock to cling to that keeps you sane and motivated, the idea is it should be something you can control. Your muse should be something internal, so it's not dependent on the actions of others - and so if someone unexpectedly disappears off the face of the planet you're not left holding a broken tether to that special place in your life...

Personally I think it doesn't matter where you find joy in life. You've just got to chase that, if it exists.
