When Popeye blows through his pipe,
I've totally fallen into steampunk XD Within the year I plan to buy full Victorian regalia and that jazz.
I now miss my old goggles :V
I now miss my old goggles :V
And as I matter of clarification, "Victorian" refers to from about 1870 to 1900 :V Edwardian is to 1930 ish.
I know that, but the only composers I can think of from just late 1800s are Gilbert and Sullivan and Tchaikovsky.
And I always felt like Steampunk could easily go between the late Victorian era and the early 20th century before the Depression. *shrug* Flappers + Gears= just as good as hoop-skirts + Gears.
You could listen to the Threepenny Opera!
That is pretty fucking badass and I think could be translated into steampunk pretty awesomely.
But yeah, if you've got bittorrent or utorrent, look up Benko Dixieland band. It's EPIC <3
If you have not heard those things, you really really really really should (fuck Pitchfork, this one's The Decemberists' best. XP (And the Anne Briggs traditional-Scottish-folk-EP is just so weirdly haunting. D: <3)).
And I'm totally looking that up. <3
also, I wanna look them up but damn this internet connection 8C
Only song that particularly works stand-alone. It's also the album's single.
The Anne Briggs EP has no torrent, but all the tracks for it can be found on youtube.
1- Lowlands (trad) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGoWsPfEJZQ
2- My Bonny Boy (trad) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSq_-mLpU7k
3- Polly Vaughan (trad) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4zg0aObkLs
4- Rosemary Lane (trad) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4X6aSkdAjs
And I couldn't find a torrent of Benko Dixieland Band. :C
Also, hmm... you got an email? I could try and send you the album
So the Anne Briggs songs probably wouldn't be too hard on your connection.
Also, Alright, I may or may not get around to it, sorry if I don't. My connection's really weak, so I can't do much. :C
It's FINE. ;o;
Don't worry about it.
I don't want to be a bother.
The album has a kinda cute story, though. A girl from the city, Margaret, goes into the forest and meets a shapeshifter dude, William, and they fall in love, and then they must endures the hazards of that.
I use my MSN as an email address!

I don't want to be a trouble though. D:
