I think the government of Greece needs to knock this crap off and start jailing the ones evading taxes and anyone else responsible for the nation's financial crisis. Whats tragic is the debt owed seems to be relatively small. We spend hundreds of billions on defense alone. That's not counting everything else. I'm honestly surprised our own Congress hasn't yet offered to pay off the debt considering Greece is a bit too close for comfort to ISIS-friendly Turkey and to me anyway we could spin the reason for the few billion bucks as a matter of national security.

Eh I don't think it'll do much but at very least I'll propose it to my state representatives and senators.

America is generally a Greek-friendly nation :) I've been told the American Ambassy in Greece to be the biggest one (tho I don't believe it, it still is huge). Tax evasion is something that, according to greek politics of the older goverments, will never cease. Every single citizen of Greece does it to a smaller or bigger scale and the taxmen are almost non-existent. However, greece suffers atm and it's not something that the citizens would be willing to ignore.

The bigger companies hide millions of Euros. If u had heard about the Lagart list, the names of the top tax-evasive greeks are in it and the total amount would cover more than 50% of Greece's debts. So far, only 4-5 names had been confirmed but there are alot of people placing even the 2 older prime ministers. However, in greece, the most common tax evasion is not receiving a receit. I know that alot of restaurants and taverns don't do it. Tutors at home never do it, plumpers never do it. When I go in a small store that's suffering and I buy things, I always tell em not to give me one and there are countless people that beg me to make a bigger discount without giving one at my own store. I am not saying this is fine or that this is right, but without any control, I can't have a safer business. Because if I don't do it, the antagonist next to me will.

There are many problems in greece. Frankly, I have no clue what the fuck is going on, I have been waking up and search desperately in the news for anything that might make me feel safer.

Why I feel something strange about this. I mean unless there are a lot of people who will donate more than 1 million and more this project is failed already...because he/she will refund ALL of it if this failed (according to his/her page,unless she/he edit it). I think he/she should instead get it and try to control the situation after the referendum or sort because 1.6 million Euro is quiet a lot and at least useful a bit.
