RIP black kitty with the white paws...
16 years ago
I just saw a cat get run over by a car. I saw it run and then run out into the wall and practically throw itself in under the car and the car's tire!
The car just went on and didn't stop and I just stood there and stared in shock as the poor feline wriggled.
Some other people took care of the cat and the situation and that was good cause I was just in too much shock to do anything but stare and repeat "Oh my God!" while talking to Laiochan on the phone.
You should NOT have outdoor cats when you live in a city like this! No! Absolutely not! That's what I think anyways! ;w;
Poor cat...
Rest in peace little kitty...

Felines are generally quite long-lived, though mileage varies depending on owner maintenance and genetic predisposition. In a handful of documented cases, cats have exceeded 30 years in age. Typically, indoor cats may live 12 to 18 years, with many surviving into their 20s. Outdoor cats face greater threat of accident and/or illness, and average roughly 10 years.
Foxes are another good example of what can happen to a cat outdoors. Then you have non-animal related accidents, like climbing up a tree and not being able to get down, cars (a biggie), idiot neighbors who throw rocks at them, feed them poisoned food, etc (actually killed a dog of ours one time that way), stuff like that.
