All right. SO. I'm behind where I had thought I might be at this point in my most recent series. Granted, I have excuses but I don't like leaning on those.
I realized that I haven't properly explained what the real goals are for winning the race because its more than just reach the finish line first. Getting across the line quickly is really just the secondary objective. More on that, hopefully, in the story once I get to it.
It's also been suggested to me by a few people now that I should build up a bit more imagery and add more details. We'll.... see how that goes. I'll certainly keep that in mind but I'm a huge fan of keeping the story moving along and tending to precise detailing second. I don't like running out of adjectives and alternate nouns to describe people and things, after all. I'm also an avid novel reader and enjoy the style of giving details of a person over time instead of stopping a story to give a blunt text wall of them. I realize that might not be the best way to go for these little vignettes though. We'll see.
Now, people weren't very responsive in general to the poll so I just did some quick research into pregancy multiples and I've decided to keep it as realistic as I can aside from the obvious fact that these are anthro men getting knocked up with accellerated pregnancies. i'm going to give them litters about the same as their feral equivalents and they'll be gaining size equal to what they would be if they were actually carrying litters that size as best as I can estimate since there are really no real life cases of pregnancies of that size.
