Back from Vacation, with new human rights apparently >w<

VERY LATE JOURNAL BECAUSE I WAS FORCED TO GO ON A SHITTY VACATION. NOBODY WILL READ THIS BECAUSE IT'S 6 DAYS LATE.
So shortly after the Supreme court ruling was made about same sex marriage, I got really excited.
But that excitement was shat on, a couple days later, when I had to spend time with my family in a tiny little RV on vacation. >.<
There was Disney World, so that was a thing.
I had to abstain from fapping for 6 days, although I snuck a couple sessions in here and there.
My dad had pneumonia throughout the trip and was hospitalized halfway through due to risk of cardiac arrest. He didn't actually end up having cardiac arrest, though, so that was good.
So, basically, I had a shitty time after gay marriage was legalized. Whoop-dee-doo?
And every time I brought up how happy I was about gay marriage, I was told to shut up.
I don't usually act happy around my family, so that was like they were shitting-onto-my-face insulting me.
But as for the ruling, I'm extremely happy about it. I hope I'll get to have the opportunity to use these rights some day.
(PS: sorry if this journal was more about me complaining about my vacation than it was about the gay marriage ruling.)
EDIT: Sorry about the anger in this journal. I was going through weird mood swings, and I don't know why. :(

Y'know.
Like marry.
The supreme court didn't create a new law or right. They interpreted the constitution so that everyone had the right to be married.
The 14th amendment states that everyone should be treated equally.
Previously, the definition of marriage was one-man-one-woman, which completely disregarded the fact that some people aren't attracted to the opposite sex. This obviously was unconstitutional, so they had to broaden the definition of marriage.
Gay people didn't get extra rights, because they originally had less rights than the rest of the population. This now sets them equal, not superior.
They didn't create a new law. They edited an existing law.
So there. :)
