Would anyone be offended by this?
About a year ago I removed the picture of the replica General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard to make room for more cars and take some of the older pictures down. Of course the Confederate flag is in full view and considering the recent events with that flag I have to pose this question.
Of course this is a hypothetical question as I may put it up anyway to snub those who have jumped all over the I don't want to offend bandwagon *cough* TV LAND *cough*. Including the golfer who bought the original General Lee and is now going to remove that image for an American flag. However saying nothing about changing the name to General Grant. *shrugs*
I have my opinion on the subject which would be the current unpopular stance on it in the media and the bandwagon hoppers at least. But what it yours? Would it offend you if I put the General Lee replica back on this page? Would you report it as offensive? Would the current roster of admins force me to take it down?

Time moves on and the meanings of things change. The swastika once meant something good before the wrong people got their hands on it and committed the horrible atrocities under it, but thanks to the Dukes the opposite can be said for the rebel flag, it once stood for something offensive but that meaning changed.
I don't see anyone up in arms trying to ban the stars and stripes for all the horrible things committed under it.
I say post the General.
Should just leave her alone.
all clasic musle cars are icons of rebelion as well
i love the D of H
In fact when the confederate flag is mentioned most people would think of the General Lee, and the type of themes from the show, ie small town America and rebellion from authority, so yeah..
its just SJW type morons who are complaining imho, there are atrocities done under then name of most flags, guess we should ban all flags -shrugs-
...with its Nazi Flag on the roof!!!!!
The flag is a symbol of hate, stupidity, and a VERY dark time in our history....HOWEVER
I don't think deleting it and pretending it never existed is the way to deal with that.
AND...
The Dukes are a great example of how and flags are not as black and white as people want them to be.
But now nascar is banning the confederate flag from tracks. Are you seriously that stupid. You have most of your tracks in the south and now banning people from flying. The death nascar has begun. Rednecks go hand in hand with beer, guns, nascar and the confederate flag. If I'm not mistaken we have already tried one of those and it has fail miserably.
I'm a guy who is offended when people aren't offended. Let's see good ole general lee.
I strongly suspect that unit was destroyed decades ago. Along with the scores of Chargers that show wrecked over the course of its production run.
Since I view that banner as the emblem of a vanquished empire, I find myself somewhat ambivalent towards it nowadays.
Got a couple of minutes? This vid here will give folks some insight on this issue and ensign:

That being said, I support the choice businesses are making to refuse to sell merchandise containing the rebel flag. It's their business and their choice. I also support removing it from government buildings, because while you can argue for quite a while about what it allegedly represents, there's no arguing what it does represent to a lot of people and that has no place on public property. If you want to fly it in your yard, so be it, but don't make the government take a stand for you.
Furthermore, I've little doubt in my mind that the original General Lee has been restored, and therefore repainted. Painting over the flag doesn't mean it can't be put back later if someone chose to.
I mean, it's not even the Confederate Flag. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULBCuHIpNgU
