AC15 Meme and why AFTER the 4th this year!?

So it seems that Uncle kage has decided to set this years AC after July 4th and from what Ive heard, there are two reasons.
1. Out on the city streets There are an overload of pedestrians and way too much traffic. Rumor has it that A fursuiter or too got gently sideswiped by A vehicle somehow. I don't know the specifics, but point is, their okay and healthy. Keep in mind that during the big holidays traffic in major cities can get rough. Top of everything else too much
2. The rate of the hotels is abit more expensive, as well major national transportations(If not going by carpool).

The convention, The Inclines and parts of downtown you can say.

Mostly cheap locations, but will stop for an annual dinner meet at the Sea Grill

Please do, just I am not usually the person to start conversations, so please lead the talk and we will have a good time wherever we go.

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
-Gain something from the con I never did before, be it feelings, understanding things, learning other aspect of the con.....something other than just normal super happy fun times at cons

1.) The rates of the convention center itself, as it relates to Union workers. HOliday weekend means holiday hours and holiday pay during those working hours during setup/breakdown and even just "refreshing a room" with setup and moving chairs/tables about. This can equal big drains on operation funds especially if certain rooms within the DLCC are handled by con staff instead of the authorized union workers as is outlined in contracts.
2.) Visit Pittsburgh tourism and as it relates to hotel-to-hotel shuttle services. I dont know if these two are interlaced, I think they may be? Even if the shutttles are independently run they may be able to run a more frequent and better service for our convention, and the hotel loops at large for the various stops they are due to make, on a non-holiday weekend.
3.) There might have been another city incentive to push it a week forward, along with a perk or two... (a promise of making more blocks in more hotels all around open to the AC visitors at large, availability of bus and public transit in/around the downtown area... just for a ocuple examples)
4.) While, yes, a nicely set "tradtion" of AC being held on a fourth of july holiday weekend has existed with the con, It has not every-single-time been the case and just as many dates over the years have NOT fallen in/on/close to that specific holiday time. It might have been as simple as "Nah... you know.. we've done that last couple years in a row.. lets switch it up this year and put it a weekend later"
