Know anything about Sergals??

I've made a couple sergal adoptables and now I have a personal interest in creating one for myself (probably not a super serious character or anything) but I was wondering if anyone could bring me up to date on the sergal situation?
I know mick39 created them, and that the canon has changed slightly since their inception but I've been seeing a large amount of ehm... -cough- sparkledogg-y type sergals lately. It seems like before they were limited to the white belly, a single base coast color, and some eye markings but now I'm seeing some with crazy patterns and colors, weird clothing, and totally lore-breaking aspects (wings? Floaty glowy things?) So was wondering if Mick had changed things at all, or what prompted the influx of sparkle-sergals?? (there's totally nothing wrong with brightly colored sergals I just want to personally make sure I follow the canon)
Also wondering if there's any information anywhere that I could use to create a canon sergal. I've checked the wiki pages and they have great info on anatomy but not so much on coloration.
Thanks!

ANYthing else that you have seen over time is everybody else putting personal creativity and their own spins on their own Sergal characters
http://goldring.wikia.com/wiki/Sergals < my bad, it's described as 'early new age' canon.
There are some nice and cute Sergals, but anything other then that Wiki and that Image listed, anything else is all made by the Fan-Community
Thank you for your insight~
These things are kinda getting past Mick as she still refuses to stand up for her work and just allows it to happen as noone will listen to her. Besides, she gets good business to draw them so not much else of a reason to disappear again like she did back in 2005.
It is actually due to them why I think Mick is beginning to modernize and "ok" several new designs for Sergals so they can be acceptable in her advancing world.
So if you want to follow canon, the Vilous wiki is a good place to start.
I do believe Mick had posted a more recent update to their coloration to help those that plan on making one, I'll go see if I can find it for you.
...But Murrgals |D Ohmg. That's fantastic.

Lol yes, they sure are fabulous. (as they are sickening)
I use to RP as Rain Silves for 5 years and I've followed lots of Micks work and others who collaborated closely.
If you need answers, I got em. And if I don't, I always know someone who does.
Has Mick shared their thoughts on how the colored fur works? The design have has a gradient to it, with some small spots.
The same that I know about their colors is also posted in the Wiki.
"Their fur has a straightforward two-tone color scheme: In addition to white as a secondary color, The main colors of Northern Sergals are cool colors and the main colors of Southern Sergals are warm colors.
The two-color scheme pattern is easy to understand, just imagine a shark: the belly is mainly white, and the back is a darker color. The border between the two colors is clearly separated.
Patterns such as stripes and spots are not common."

Has no white underbelly but it could be added very easily. I would keep the tail wrap, and the gold bits, but the white spots would probably have to go. Though the gradient/blue color, I don't know what I would do with that.
If I was you- you can make the colors white on blue and give the new mane some white speckles.
Speckling is uncommon but it is not against canon.
