Sharks seem to be a big thing these days. What's up with sharks?

Shark Week kinda brought sharks back into popular culture.

Sharknado---not to mention all those terrible made-for-TV movies---brought sharks back into the b-film spotlight, therefore further ingraining it into popular culture. People are just desperate for something---anything---to replace zombies which have long since reached the point of saturation.

What is the mind? is it just a system of impulses, or.. is it something tangible?

As for the human mind: I'm not a staunch materialist, so I tend to think there's something beyond the electrical signals and neurotransmitters that makes us "us." Something transcendental.
