Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at, too. Hard to explain. I'm there. I want to be there. It just doesn't work. Bleh. But I'm already feeling good about deciding to jettison and start over. I'm thinkin' I should distract myself by writing a vorish story. That involves an otter being eaten. By a big zebra dude. Nahhhh.

Do whatever, though you would have to talk to me a lot to know just how dark I would get and how gentle i just might happen to be.

You're right that I most likely won't - but not for the reasons I assume you're thinking. Having already "borrowed" characters, I find it very challenging to prevent imposing my own conceptions of said character over what the owner may have designed. As much as I like your Zed character, I think any attempt of mine to include him within one of my vorish narratives would result in him becoming something you would disprove of. It's just easier for me to create my own predator - and I'm fortunate in that I have the occasional fantasy about some of my own guys. Not to mention ones I haven't written about yet. Ah, the stomachs my mind dreams of ... :3

you aren't a people person at all, at least on the internet and as far as i tried to reach out tells me that.

a picture speaks way more than a story, but a story is pretty defining of a picture in the exact. without knowing the character, a story can not be made from snippets or pictures that say too much all at once.

can admire the way you come up with your own characters for sure, and the development is very sound too, but for the life of me i can't tell where you get it from by cutting yourself off so much.

Hahaha! I do interact with people. Family, friends, work, the rare social activity. But I'm more an observer than a participant. I realized long ago that I'm not quick-witted or a fast thinker, which trips me up in any social interaction; real life or internet. I think that's why I fell back on writing - I can take my time and organize what I want to say. And edit it. Life is hard for me because I can't edit!

And, yes - I edited this twice before posting.

Take your time buddy, the most important thing here is to capture the vision you have of the story. Though i wouldn't mind certain specific character getting ressurected :3

If you are forcing it then you need to stop immediately, take a step back for a few days and do something else. Reading is always very helpful to me when I'm gettiung blocked or suddenly have to force prose out.

I definitely feel that I've been forcing myself to push forward, even when I knew I wasn't doing didn't feel right. I am stepping back now and plan to reread the earlier stuff to reacquaint myself with the group. Thanks for the input! :3

Yeah, I wrote a few stories with that thought in mind. I was fine working on those and had no problems with mental blockages - probably because they were self-contained. I think I'm getting a few things figured out that may help. I ain't givin' up! :3
