For years I have struggled with getting a full time job. I have been promised full time a lot and never given it. It was stressful and pretty much ruining every aspect of my life. Living situation, bills, relationship, etc. I've just been stuck at shitty 11$/h part timers.

I had an interview on Wednesday with a woman that owns a condo/apartment cleaning company for liberty village in Toronto. I have multiple cleaning job experiences under my belt so I think that's what scored me the interview.
She asked 3 things about myself, and 3 things I expect from this job. The main thing I expect from any job is that I am able to go above and beyond to help the company succeed. Past jobs I've had did not like me putting in extra effort or trying to come up with some new ideas to benefit the ompanys growth and succession. I have no idea why but yeah. So I explained that to her. When I have a job it isn't just a job to me. It's something I become passionate about. I want to help in any way I can. This pretty much got me the job.
She said Jasmin, I'm old. I'm 53 going on 54 in a month. Im too old to manage this company by myself. Its small but the demand is growing too fast, and I want to expand to different areas around Toronto. I need a right hand lady, and I think you are perfect. You're young, you're modern...after the two weeks of training, if you feel this job is for you, you want fulltime you got it. I would like you part time cleaning and part time as my assistant.

So....this changes a lot for me. Sure it may appear to you as just a cleaning job, but it's a game changer for me. It's 13$/H for training, 15$/H after that and because I will be becoming a supervisor/assistant manager of sorts it will be 19$+/H.
I'm incredibly excited. Not only does this give me money to put away for school, I can advance in this job and put 110%. Not to mention this woman is beyond kind, she is just lovely, and has more than a boss worker relationship with her employees. This is what I've been waiting for....I couldn't be more happy.
