...and I don't like the second season either.

Do people really enjoy 12 episodes of (wo)man-children acting like pieces of shit for the sake of manufacturing drama?

Welcome to America. Try not to let the bullshit surprise you.
But at the same time, I feel like BoJack got better in the later episodes when it got more serious. 1st few it did try abit too hard to be funny.

I actually hated it more when it tried to get serious because the show creators are trying to make the audience sympathize and relate with a bunch of manchildren characters.

I didn't feel bad for him dont get me wrong, not that I get really attached to fictional characters. But BoJack really wasn't that different from other washed up celebrities, so I was familiar with the story in the show and just took it as that.
But just personally the show got better when it didn't try to be funny.
Different tastes right?

Bojack for me fell into the same category as Metalpocalypse -- stuff I really loved mixed in with stuff I absolutely despised.

Some people can get passed the crap they hate and appreciate the good parts.

I'm not one of those people.

I hear you on that. The opposite is a "guilty pleasure" and I have many of those, haha.

But for this series, yeah, I'm with you, I don't really like it on the balance.

I want to like it, but the first season is pretty lame. Supposedly it gets better after that. I have yet to find out.

I hear people really liked the later half of season 1 but I'm not one of those people, haha. The second season is more like the second half of season 1.
