Look at others art can really bring someone down.

There are so many basics of art I just don't understand. Like the flow of liquids and shadows & highlights. I just need to find someone that can point me in the right direction of how to learn this or that. I'm willing to put forth the effort... And don't get me wrong, it's not that I think I draw bad... I mean, I do okay for someone that's never had an art class in his life, but i guess there comes a point and time where even studying others art can't get you the same end results.
