Honestly....if you would feel better with them closed so you can protect them more, then go for it ^-^. These guys are your babies after all and any choice you make when it comes to them should be with their best intrest at heart.

I hope if you do end up making them closed, those who have a number but no Volatikai (im one of them) wont be short-changed. Personally I think it might be best, since you've already had issues with your rules and the designs not followed. It would be more of a security measure then being mean about it....atleast that's how I see it....

I read you might put a dealine up fopr those to make one, but as long as we would be able to purchase custom ones or ones offered in auctions then ild be ok with it. Im having a hard time deciding on the type anyways XD

I do understand those points, But its like to me if you make them closed and they gain popularity they will be even more abused, even if you regulate things, people will barter and trade and basically made them like designer handbags for the few to wave in the face of those unlucky enough to not have the funds to own one. To me there are just too many Closed designer hand bag species already and the fact your species is open is one thing that drew me in besides the obvious fact that they are amazing and well thought out.

Personally If you put a deadline on it I'd never be able to get/make one since I don't have the art skills to draw mine and the person who is gunna help design mine would like me to pay and Im Broke and thats not going to be changing any time soon. I really want one.

But Im just a little person on this wide internet and you will do what you want to do either way so yeh my two cents.

Honestly it would be a good idea for you to have some help. You have personal life to deal with and with the species its adding on more. You should get help with them
At the suggestion of making them closed or open, you should make them closed. People will find any possible way of trying to change and have loop-holes in your rules for them to have their way.
If people start making too many of them they will slowly start changing their characters to something you do not like.
Also since you are still doing updates on the species. It would be better to make the close that way people who already have one can make the changes with no problem and people who are willing to buy one, can just get the updated version already. I mean this is my opinion but it's all up to you.
Either way. I'm happy with my babe at the moment and he makes me happy and I want to thank you for giving me an opportunity in having one~

I can understand as well that you wnat to make them closed. I aquired a species that used to be open, I think, and I turned them into a 'Closed' species to since I'm revamping them the whole 9 yards. Everything.
Will I reopen them to an 'Open' species, I haven't decided since I've grown attached to them and I don't want to see the few I may release to the public to be abused or just be used as resale/trading fodder.

I was planning on making a MYO, but dwelling on it...I would gladly commission you to design him with artistic freedom using the bird I picked out since I'm at a loss on where to begin.

hm what I might is make it maybe seasonally open like X through Y time you can buy T species if you want more control and allows you to continue to test the waters. I DO understand your feelings tho.
I am working on a species that will be doing exactly what I just stated above to control the influx and test how people use them. either way people will do things you might not agree too but when you sell/give characters creatures away its kinda to be expected to a degree. I think it's the right thing to do. Don't pay attention to any negative comments about it please. It's your hard work on the line here and you obviously deserve full credit for them. Protect them in any way you see fit. There's so many risks with them being open all the time. I'm terrible with giving advise but just know I support you 100%!!!
