Best. Con. Yet. There's a reason why it's the biggest furry convention, it was amazing. The city was great, the people were awesome, it was definitely all the hard work and saving and that long drive through Pennsylvania. I got to meet some fantastic people, reunite with friends, and it was just a ball.

Here's the bulk of what went down: I had an anxiety attack Thursday which was not fun, but being around so many friends helped. I roomed with Blade, Eredran, Nisha, Ayla, and Bennet, and they're super fab. Didn't have a problem at our hotel, we stayed at the Omni.

Friday I barely left my suit, it was just too fun I couldn't not be fuzzy. (I finished a full Darcy 2.0, I now have my first fullsuit) I went to the So This is Your First Anthrocon panel, because it was my first AC, and I even got to say a few words about vision in suit. I met Kage, he's pretty darn awesome. Was really surreal. I also had the prelims for the Dance Competition. Didn't make the finals, but I was close. I got to talk to the amazing Dancer Furs and they are so incredible. All of them were encouraging and welcoming. I can't thank or praise them enough. Such awesome people. Speaking of dancing, I think it was that night we went to the rave. Not sure though, could have been Saturday... Everything sort of bled together. XP But we totally did dance.

Saturday was another day of suiting and events, it went by super fast. Like whoosh. I had the taur meet and greet in the morning, then I had to shim sham down to get in position for the fursuit parade. I made the first row in the suit photo! :D Taru helped me get in line in the right place and I'm front row. Then the parade happened. Oh. My. Dog. For the first time ever, we went outside. We took furry to the public, and my god what a turn out we got. 5,000 showed up to watch our parade. It was incredible to see. We made so many people happy. Something interesting happened on my walk back to the hotel that night. I was walking with another fella, super tired because I'd been suiting all day, and we met these two guys in suits. We got to talking, and I swear one of the guys was Ewan McGregor. Not shitting you, he even had the accent. I talked to Obi Wan Kenobi about furries. And he was super chill about it, too.

Sunday was starting to get sad because last day and all, but we weren't done partying yet. We had plenty to do and we hit the dealer's den hard, got some pretty awesome stuff. :) I'm pretty sure it was just a hang out day, cause I didn't go to many panels. Oh, the dance comp. How on earth could I forget that? Holy smokes, it was beyond words. Blew me away, how good our dancers are getting and how well they perform. It's so awesome.

In between all this we went to lots of places to eat, I ate with friends, got to meet artists and just hang out. Oh, I also delivered all the badges I needed to, so that was a huge accomplishment. Coordinating with furries is like herding cats. You just can't do it, at least not well. That, and some drama things that happened, aside, it was the best weekend of my life. Everyone was just so loving and welcoming, I really felt like I was home.
