Edit: I was considering doing some pay what you want commissions to kick myself back into working but on second thought... maybe not! How about you get what you pay for commissions :D
I would say keep on with fixed prices, most of those who did PWYW end up in disappointment, rarely you see one going ok with it, perhaps they have very thoughtful fans~
You COULD try doing Discounted Slots, that can encourage people to consider too X3
