uuugh ...so hooray for breakdowns, right?

Just... recently everything has been falling apart on me. Shit. Even I, myself, have been falling apart at the seams. It's not one kick in the teeth but the last straw that's broken the camel's back. AND something important to me.
I never liked working in food service. At all. I thought if I had to work in the food business again I'd have to blow out the back of my head with a 12 gauge. I was wrong. I met the love of my life and I told myself I'd support and take care of her no matter what.
So I get back to America. Bam. Hired right off the plane. The boss was great, the co-workers, wonderful people and even the customers were super nice! I was looking forward to coming in and working every day. I felt appreciated. ... I find my schedule cut down to a few hours a week. My boss couldn't even look me in the eye. Said he's gotten too many complaints about me (I'm too slow)... and he might have to fire me.
Made me wanna cry. Fuck, I hate this.

If you're slow, see if you can snag some janitor jobs or something of the sort. Maybe at a college? I'm just tossing things out there. You won't need to move fast, and it would be easy on you to pace yourself. The downfall is labor.
I do hope things get better!
Since people are saying you're too slow, then you know what you need to do. Take it as a chance to make yourself better with the understanding of the consequences of failure as a driving force for change.
This isn't the BEST thing but it's still a good thing that you were told this before being fired.
