Don't worry. Things don't tend to last forever, as I had a laptop also. One just had hard drive issues and something else, while my other one died at the age of 4 years old, when the motherboard gave in.

Mine I've had for literally a couple of months, bolts came undone, drive crashed, the screen just went blank and pixels everywhere!!!

Oh dear. It should still be under warranty, if you only had it for a couple of months. What make is the laptop?

It is, thank goodness! My cousin gave it to me- it's a Toshiba

Ah...I never was keen with Toshibas. Had one as my first laptop, but lasted for two years and a half.
