Hi party people,
today I need you US American guys. But first a very brief introduction. When I played Southpark: The Stick of Truth, it was the very first time I heard the word "poutine". A little research showed me that it is a very popular meal in Canada. And that drew my interest. OK, Canada isn't mentioned very much in school when learning English (or French) so it is obvious that I don't know many special Canadian meals. But I'm nearly sure that there are US American meals that are also not mentioned in school or movies. And that is what I need you for.
What are your favorite dishes, that are USA-originals (or that you think are USA-originals) and most likely not well known outside the US?

But, beside this one, do you think that there is not a single dish that was invented during the last 240 years? What about eggs Benedict, sweet potato pie or cobbler? Those are the three I know from friends, never mentioned in a movie or in school. But I'm sure there are many more.
I recommend the kind of chilli that has beans in them, then adding shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese on top while the hot dog and chilli are hot, so the cheese can melt somewhat and blend into the chilli. Makes for a fantastic meal.
