Hi there! Just passing through. A lot of people like etiquette before jumping into RP, saying hi, how are you, do you RP? And then jumping into RP is what a lot of people like. Mostly because it shows you aren't directly there for just the RP and you value them for both the RP part and their normal everyday part.

It's fine to jump into RP as soon as they get to know you, but immediately RPing as soon as you meet them can put a lot of people off. It's not necessarily creepy, but some people assume you don't have an "Off button" when you do that, and that to some people is considered "creepy". I also should add that what you do in RP could be considered creepy. For example, *Hugs tight* is much friendlier then, *Hugs and gently scritches while murring. Holding you close as you can feel my heart beat.* Or something along those lines. Basically, if you are going to RP upon first meeting someone, don't do something in RP that you wouldn't do in RL upon meeting someone. But again, when you get to know them and they know your tendencies, feel free to go all out on the RP.
