This article I shared and added a small message: Added Kanaszka: “Here’s the thing: You’re talking about a group of individuals who are mostly between the ages of 18 and 28. I’m not going to say that sex doesn’t happen, but that is not what the community is about.”
Kanaszka said doing the furry thing is no different than “Star Trek’s” Trekkies.
Despite what most say or think about furries, this is the truth of it. As for this message above, this was halfway in the article. Personally I find this so important it has to be the first thing to see before you read the article, but that's just me

I have a couple immediate family members who want to put everything they don't think of first down and bring up false research but I read this article and felt it to be correct. I may not state I'm a furry to the public and all I encounter but I still have enough pride in what I am to defend it with facts

I am a furry. I am not an otherkin.
I WISH I was a dragoness. I probably would enjoy bejng a dragoness. But I know and accept that I am human.
Otherkin do not do that. Otherkin insist that they ARE animals, but trapped in human shells.
Furries accept their humanity. Otherkin do not. And yet everyone enjoys putting furries in with otherkin, as though there isn't a clear difference.
