He's talking about people releasing journals that basically say the same thing, over and over again. I've seen some artists that release a journal about their YCH auctions up to four times in one day. A notification, maybe even two, is okay.

yeah you do it once an a while its fine. but i was beginning to see it happening once a day with some artists. they need to knock that shit off.

That's a low blow, I hope you realize that. I think there's a difference in posting a journal every hour with a timeframe left of a YCH piece and having a 'tip jar' in the upper section of a user page.

The former is simply called 'flooding to attract an even bigger cashcow' or 'insecurity about poses the artist does not know or is not comfortable with' (of course, not all artists are like that, but the notorious spammers are!), whereas the latter is always there (and NOT suffocate everyone in donating some hard needed money). On top of that, Jardenon here merely stated something he did not like without getting personal, whereas your response was quite personal.

So 'calling it like you sees it' is a bit harsh, especially from an empty account.

If an artist is good at what they do, it'll be advertisement on itself. Remember: there's a huge difference between 'flooding to attract an even bigger cashcow' to generate pageviews and a 1-time YCH-submission. People who really want to participate will do so the moment they see/read the description.

I donno man, I've seen the guy post a bunch of myopic and borderline offensive passive aggressive bullshit like this in the past (deleted journals, of course!). It's cool if he wants to share his opinion I guess, but it's not like everyone's going to just ignore the poor behavior. Particularly, the last line of THIS journal is needlessly snotty, per usual.

Yeah I can agree with that. But I totally get what you mean about the flooding, I hate it when it happens but I just let it happen unless it becomes 10 journals or something.

If an artist is good at what they do, and their rates are reasonable, they really don't need to advertise. That's usually why I end up having to just nuke all subs and journals, don't have time to go through them all.

Hell, there's a bitch who supposedly moved accounts 2 MONTHS ago, yet she still posts to her OLD account while spamming journals to tell people to watch her on the NEW account.

And it doesn't make it any better that the 'management' once again legalized spamming. The previous limitations are now gone.

Is there a reason why there's so much YCH spam right now? I've only been here a month but I'm seeing it a lot more now than before.
