Trying to Quit Smoking... Moral Support Needed!
General
A few days ago i made a resolution to myself while taking a shower (where all the great ideas come from!) to better myself starting.. well at that point. The past few years have really taken a toll on my body; physically, mentally, and i am sure internally with how much i have picked up smoking these days. All in all i have been smoking about 8 or 9 years now, with the last few years being my heaviest years.
I have quite a few goals i want to meet to better myself, but i am making this one the main one right now. I just do not have the stamina/endurance, weight, or quality of life i use to have in my younger days, and i desperately want to get this back. I do not have to mention i do not believe all the money that goes into this nasty habit either. I did the math and i am spending $1481.90 A YEAR on cigarettes, and that is low balling it. I tend to smoke more in stressful times so it can be a lot higher than that.
Though i have decided, this is pretty much cold turkey, and i know it is going to be hard considering my job so i really really REALLY need support from you guys, because that will mean the world to me, and make this a piece of cake that is worth it. I personally suck at self motivations and it is the ugly truth, so if anyone has any upbringing words, tips, or anything to help me out it would really be appreciated and wolf will love you long time.
I am in the process of making a little list to go along with the pack that i just bought, along with the little reminder i wrote on it before i think about breaking the seal

i will be posting this list online too for a little extra boost to stick to the program. On this list it will list the reasons why i need to quit, the gains from quitting, and what i can do with the money saved.. though i am sure some of you have already guessed one or maybe two of those =p
During this i will post journals every now and then going over what i am feeling, what it has been like to that point, and physical differences i have noticed. Maybe that can encourage others to quit as well, and for myself to look back on.

I quit 7 yrs ago, and now the smell of it makes me wanna puke and I wonder how the fuck and why I ever started. You will feel like a million bucks after its all said and done
Its going to be hard, but I know you can achieve this! You can! If you feel yourself breaking down, try the Gum it Helped me quit the first time, DO NOT chew two or you will be feeling so ill so sick you probably will be send to a hospital to get flushed. (nicotine over dose)
Another thing I found helped I know this will sound silly, but putting a pen (closed) up to my mouth like having a smoke, its in your head as a habit, and may help you get over wanting to have one, just Keep Believing in yourself that you can do this, Cause I believe in you can quit!
Far as gum i physically cannot chew gum due to a series of unfortunate events, so i have been using suckers instead. I am hoping that i do get to the point i get sick of the smell to the point i will not want it considering my sister smokes, and she always rolls in here with one in her mouth... There is where i am afraid i am going to give in since i been having to just stay away from anyone smoking.
That pen trick may be very useful, thank you for suggesting that =] May try that tomorrow while i am at work. Thank you so much for the input and motivational words! <3
If you're the kind of person that can focus on meditation, think of a place without the pollution of cig smoke.
I've thought about something that might work. Always carry a pen and if you find yourself a pack, take out your pen and write "NO" on the pack and maybe seeing that will encourage you to put it down.
