"What's the Appeal of WS and Scat?"

This is starting to be a common thing asked of me so to save some time I've decided to make a journal about it.
Basically "Why do you like scat? Why do you like Piss? Why do you like Farts?" And so forth...
The shortest answer I have is "I don't know!" and the various ways it's appealing is different for each individual that's into the fetishes. It goes without saying too that kinks look damn ridiculous to whoever isn't into them, and no it doesn't make sense. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to turn someone on.
To me personally I find confidence kind of sexy, particularly the kind that rebels against what is socially the norm. In most societies for example, we are supposed to be ashamed of certain "private" things that make us human. Things like what we look like naked, the act of having sex at all, and of course certain excretory functions that we're talking about now. Also to me such functions seem to show off the body parts that make them, the same body parts that happen to be used during sex. The kinks are all natural and free, everyone does them, so they're a sexual fetish that is available to everybody. To me watersports and farts in particular are like some playful sex toy, some harmless things everyone is familiar with that can be very warm and intimate. Finally, there might be deeper, more Freudian reasons I have the kinks I do, but I'm not a psychologist so forgive me if I don't diagnose myself too much...
Keep in mind too, that all of what I draw is not real. Fantasy and art are completely safe environments where these fetishes can be explored. Sometimes people get so offended by them, and it doesn't make a lot of sense because at the end of the day they are literally harming nobody. And oh sure, you need "brain bleach" after looking at this stuff. To that I say, stop being a wuss. Seeing kinky furry porn never killed anybody and as far as I know it has never traumatized anyone, we all know you're just drawing attention to yourself and trolling the site picking on fetishes you either don't like or like but aren't man enough or woman enough to face up to. If seeing something on here that you're not into is that debilitating then maybe this site isn't for you. And since you are looking at porn, browsing a site with the adult rating turned on, I'm going to assume you are an adult. You get no sympathy from me, just shut up, and go away.
That is real funny too, because "oh it's so gross" for the longest time, since ancient times even, has justified the very real persecution and marginalization of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transsexuals, and all other members of the LBGT community. Am I right? That person over there has sex with the wrong people, so it is wrong, right? "It's just not natural!" "It's just not right!"

The last one is great, the end all of it's logic seems to be that "homosexuality is gross" and features someone with a stomach so weak that they apparently throw up at the thought of two guys kissing.
But here's a thought: sex is gross ok. Even straight, vanilla sex can be made out to be pretty gross! Right? You're exchanging strange fluids with each other and sticking weird body parts into each other. Penis and vaginas are just wrong looking! Geiger designed aliens around them for crying out loud! Men have this drooling fleshy snake thing growing out of their crotch and women have this fishy smelling hole that bleeds! And don't get me started on childbirth... it's supposed to be all beautiful and perfect like in the movies but it's not it's SO NOT!
But hey, we're all adults we know is all gross but we enjoy it anyways because why not? As long as you stay healthy you don't have anything to worry about, and all that gross biological stuff is what life is made out of. It is made out of semen, vaginal fluid, and sometimes shit and sometimes piss. It's a gooey, watery, visceral mess. Whatever people are into, it's not hurting you, it's not hurting me. I'm not alone in what I like personally because I make money drawing the stuff for people. Welcome. :p

I can certainly tie a few experiences in my youth together to make a story of how I ended up interested in this, but I've no idea if that's just hapchance. That my young brain interpreted wet dreams as me peeing uncontrollably, before I knew what an orgasm was, probably had an effect, but I don't think scat featured in any of those.
What things do and don't turn me on are also a bit scattershot, vary with time, and vary with how turned on I am. I've wondered if it's a bit like synesthesia, but instead of seeing 'false' colors in response to sound or images, I'm feeling 'false' eroticism in response to other stimulus — in this case bathroom play. I'd love to ask a neurobiologist some time.
Weird thing: I tried scat play when I was a young adolescent, decided it was too awkward, and chose to forget I was into it. Didn't recall until years later, months after someone else had re-introduced me to messy play. It's a little scary that I could lock a memory away from myself so completely — makes me wondering what else is in a vault in the back of my head.

For me, and most others i think the biggest appeal is in just how subversive, and counter culture it seems. The fact that it's seen as so wrong and off the beaten path, is what makes indulgence a thrill.
Heck, that's largely what i think is behind a lot of other shocker fetishes, like Emetophilia, and misc. hyper feet, body smells and misc. gunk.
Another aspect, is once one can tolerate some rather extreme things... it makes you feel stronger, tougher, like you've conquered something most people can't.
In these modern times, we got to co-exist, and be ok with some people & fetishes existing. The lease anyone can expect... is mere tolerance and neutrality.. and to at least be happy that someone has something they like so much. (this is actually a common theme in a few MLP episodes too) like, "wow um.. that's pretty heavy stuff dude... i can not get into that.. but i think it's cool you got something you like that much".
i.e.: Took me a LONG time to "come out" about my dirty foreskin fetish. And it's always great feeling open and finding out you weren't alone, and that there's actually a surprisingly large following for something.

And, if it is acceptable, or even enjoyable, then this person, for all of their logic and defenses, has been proven wrong and might become outcast in some way. Why not skip all of the programmed, social normality approach, and just accept that people will be people, and people are different. Unless it is forced upon someone unwilling, or the activity, habit, or interest is causing harm: who cares what people do with their free time or interests. No one is hurt, and everyone is happy? Mkay! Case closed!
There are times when i have enough of it and just want to draw something more "innocent", i'm sure you understand Cx.
Also, quite common "fetish" i have is the sizeplay. The best i can explain it is that i just find it very cute and it probably has to do with all that underdog theme, the little guy overcoming impossible odds. I really love that kind of stuff. What enhances everything for me, are expressions, depending on the context ofcourse. Such as seeing the enjoyment on characters faces. With almost every fetish, they just make the fetish work so much better for me.
