Vacation cancelled :')

Alright, this is probably something that never happened to us before. x"D It's rather hilarious actually.
It all started yesterday when my father, first time ever in his life accidentally tanked the wrong fuel into our car. He managed to drove around with it for a while, but then in the evening the car stopped working. He called the car mechanics immediately, they tanked the right fuel into the car to mix it with the wrong fuel and the car was alright again. They said that he should drive around with it till most of the mixed fuel is used up.
Another thing that started to make us worried yesterday was the weather forecast. This heatwave was really long and long heatwaves usually bring big storms afterwards. And big storms around the lake where we wanted to go usually couse a huge mess (broken trees falling on cars, electricity going out, collapsing roofs etc.)
Today morning we started to pack anyway hoping that the storm wouldn't hit that part too heavily, but then another ill-omen happened. My father realized that one of the registration plates fell off the car and he had no idea where to search for it :') But he was like no big deal, we can go anyway.
But then, right after this phone call, when my mom went to the kitchen she saw a puddle on the floor. We started to search for the source and it turned out that the pipe under the drain broke. Probably because it's too old and started to rot somewhere. But we were like naah we will fix this when we come back, it's alright!
Then when we finally sat into the car to start our journey.... and the car didn't work again! xD
We were sitting there for a while hesitating what should we do. Should we call the mechanics and start with a delay, or is this series of unfortunate events a clear "NOPE! You shouldn't go!"
We agreed on the latter. We never had so many things going wrong before a trip, and we didn't want to take the risk.
So I'll just stay home for the rest of the summer, work on commissions and prepare for school. :3
Part of me is actually relieved, I was afriad that I wouldn't have enough time for everything and would need to do things in a rush, especially because there's still a lot of paper work regarding the school.
But anyway, hopefully we made the right decision.
