It saddens me to report that the wedding for this year is postponed due to the fact there's no way we can raise enough money in time. And even if we could raise the money, there's not enough time to plan it. Of course we could see this coming many miles away, and when you're struggling to pay simple bills, paying for a non-crappy, non-thrown-together wedding seems like a distant fantasy.
However, I'm not completely bummed, nor is Kat. Yes, we had a specific timeframe we were hoping for (late October, fall colors, Furpocalypse afterward), but since that's not in the cards, we're not going to worry about it right now. We know it's going to happen soon enough, and although we may get impatient, it will be worth the wait. Cancelling is not an option. It will happen eventually.
We're hoping now that "eventually" means an April/spring wedding. We'll keep plugging the GoFundMe (see footer below, after my commission queue. plug plug plug) and keep trying to find money that we can put away to pay for it. But like was said in the GoFundMe, it's likely not happening for a while without a good deal of help. However long it takes us to save up the money, so be it. But between the money troubles, Kat searching for a job, and my hoping to transition to a new working arrangement, it was simply apparent that right now is not the best time for a wedding.
Before we focus on planning a wedding, we have to focus on stabilizing our money/job situation. And I need a decent car so I can leave my crappy, low-end job and start saving actual money. After that, maybe we can start putting money away bit by bit. Then we can have an amazing wedding of our dreams with friends and dancing and cake and fun times and awesome memories.
Until then, Kat and I will keep on keeping on. Getting back on our feet is a slow process which will take time, and after that happens, we can think about paying for a wedding. We just want a small, intimate wedding, but we do want it done right, and we want to remember it fondly for a long, long time.
We'll keep you updated on things, and when we set another date, we'll let you all know.
Until then, if you do want to make a donation to help fund the kitty wedding, please go here --> http://www.gofundme.com/y6qz88
All money donated towards the wedding will be used for the wedding, no matter how long it takes. X3
Thanks everyone,
-JT

All the best, good luck with everything eeeeeeeeeeee
The average starting wage for truckers in the country is $40k, team drivers start around $60-70k (for company drivers, Owner/Operators start between $100k and up to $250k for team O/O)
However being a livery driver such as a limo driver or such could be a good thing.
