As of this date, 8/11/2015. I am one of the happiest women in the world.
Allow me to elaborate♥
Tuesday 8th, August of 2015 at roughly 6pm quickly became one of the greatest days and times of my life next to my brothers' births.
I was having a pretty decent day, working like any other. After getting off work at 4pm I went to pick up PJ from his sisters and his long day of work. I couldn't help but notice his mood, something was bothering him. We had a long discussion that lasted the drive home and continued once we were there. He still seemed rather upset by something and I couldn't put my thumb on it. He reminded me that we needed to go to the bank and I agreed considering I wanted to leave and talk to him more about it. On our way to the bank, the conversation grew a bit more serious as he started drilling me with questions such as why do I love him and am I really happy with where I am at in life. These questions struck me at home and made me start to think he was second guessing our relationship. I started crying because I really didn't know what to do or how to handle it except to continue answering him. After pulling out of the bank's drive-thru he directed me where to drive next. We pulled into Riverwalk and parked for a moment before getting out and going for a much needed and calming walk together. Holding my hand he continued to talk about why he loved that park and was still visibly bothered. All I could think about was the fact that that was it, he was going to dump me and my life would have been over right then and there. Coming around the island he stopped and pulled me close. He looked deep into my eyes and explained how much he loved me and how lucky he was to be in love with his best friend. He then mentioned that he wanted to ask me another question. Completely shocked and amazed, I stepped back shielding my mouth as he sunk to one knee and pulled out a box. He asked me to marry him, with tears pricking the corners of his eyes and it took everything I had not to jump and kiss him, knocking us both into the river. Of course I said Yes!! I would want nothing more than to love this man and everything that comes with him for the rest of my life. I would be honored to share the rest of our days together. Apparently our fears were mutual because he was afraid I would've said No. Oh goodness if only he knew! ;)
