Destroy the idea that your art is bad just because it doesn’t look like other people’s art. Your art is your own thing - it doesn’t have to meet anyone’s standards but your own.

It's not just that, it's just... I actively HATE my work. I see what I've done, and except for a very few examples, I don't like what I see. It's the same with my writing; all I see are mistakes I've made in it and horrible dialogue and descriptions, and it doesn't make me feel proud or happy or anything like that, it makes me feel depressed, ashamed, and disappointed.

instead of self-criticizing your work and decide "no, this is awful, why should I post it", the best course of action to look at what it is you don't like about yur art, make notes of it, and see if you can find a way to fix what your problem is.

We are always our worst critics. However, even if it is flawed does not mean it is utter garbage. Trust me... If you want to see utter garbage have me try to draw something and post it and prepare to weep with me.

Something can be good without be infreakin' credible. Or perfect whatever that even means.

If YOU don't like your work then just try your best to steadily improve it and be glad to know that at least you have a number of people who appreciate what you can do even now and who would be there cheering on the slow, hopefully, progress to even better work.

I just support people who bother to try.

I used to draw a lot but I lost that ability due to BS choices that were made for me without my consent and now cannot draw anything worth posting anymore except once every few years. To see someone who can draw but does not want to because they think they are not good enough is a bit upsetting to me.

You can always post stuff you're not a huge fan of to your scraps instead. Besides, if everyone stopped posting art because they found an artist who they felt was better, there would be no more fandom.
