Storage Wars: Anyone got any handy storage solutions?

Foy en Tout - Faith in All
So with the summer coming closer to an end, and my belongings now moved to a new room with an all new ensuite it's quite obvious that I have little space than I had before. So I need to get creative.
Mostly the biggest concern for storage at the moment is my Canon Pixma MG6450 printer. I can't go without it because I'll need it to print off a variety of images of good quality, research documents and essays for my course.
Another issue is I don't have a lot of surface space in the room. The desk itself, which is fitted onto the wall is proving an issue for Laptop and Graphics tablet space, so it could result in me smacking myself repetitively in the face with the tablet should I lean on it whilst drawing. The desk itself is literally just a table so there's no side draws.
There is currently no bed side table, but I have been told I will be getting one. (This may possibly be the only place to put the printer :/)
There are no shelves in the room which I did have in the old room that were above the desk. But now in this room a wall mounted TV resides over the desk. Any other available wall space which could have a shelf cannot due to health and safety risks. (Spaces above the radiator and bed.) Or they've mounted a pin-board up which cannot be removed.
They've but a 3/4 sized bed in the room, where as before it was only a single, which has also taken up more room that necessary. (But granted these are "luxury rooms" with ensuites, wall mounted TVs and larger beds)
The built in wardrobe doesn't fully extend to the outside wall so there's an awkward gap. It does however look large enough for a tower storage unit which we're looking into, along with over-door storage space. None of the shelving space within the wardrobe is wide enough for the printer. (not that I would be able to have the power cable running into it to begin with.)
There looks to be a window ledge/sill type thing that runs across the outside wall just about taller than the bed. Which feels a little un-necessary.
And then there's no storage space under the bed, which my previous bed did have which is also a tad stupid.
The wall mounted TV is also useless to me because;
1. It seems as though I can't adjust it so that I can plug any of my gaming consoles into it.
2. In the UK by law if we want to watch or record live broadcast television we are required to pay for a television license which is £145.50 a year per tenant. (If it's a household or a joint tenancy agreement then one covers everyone) And I have no intention to pay it because I don't watch live broadcast TV anymore.
3. Downloaded or streamed television which including, YouTube , Bebo, Netflix, BBC IPlayer, etc, do not require a TV license, and can all be accessed from my Laptop anyway.
Ergo, I have a TV permanently mounted to my wall which I will be unable to use and takes up valuable storage space, and likely will not be able to have it removed.
I have been looking into ways of how to use 3M Command hooks to create storage solutions so if anyone has any lifehacks with those, or adhesive hooks in general, I'd like to hear it.
It's just the printer that's my biggest issue. it's great that it's wireless so there's no worrying about it being near the laptop but it's big, it's essential, and I have no where to put it unless I can figure something out.
