Breakdown
Hey.
I know it's been a while. I'm sorry. The truth is, I've... not had the best week. Month.
My new job was eating away at me. The hours were long and what I was actually doing, while not physically demanding, was something I was ill-suited for. It was essentially a call center job, trying to sell without actually selling anything. If that confuses you, or you think that sounds awfully duplicitous, congratulations, I'm right there with you. -.- I stuck with it, though, because it was good pay and the company was good to me.
Then I had my breakdown. I just left work one day, went to the gym, and started crying without really knowing why. I just shut down. It was a bout of depression with the worst sense of timing.
Then I was fired.
Yeah. True, I didn't even like my job anymore, and flirted with the idea of quitting, but being out right fired, thrown out, is... well, it doesn't do anything for the ego.
And that's where I am now. My schedule has freed up considerably, so I'll be able to get things done much more quickly, but I still just need a day or two to recover and pick up the pieces of my shattered self-esteem. Thank you all, especially my commissioners, for your patience.
Thanks and God bless,
-Renard

Don't worry, take as much time as you need on anything. Hopefully you'll able to get back on your feet quickly.

I hope things improve for you Renard, in the long run I'd say not working for that company is a good thing if it made you feel so uncomfortable.

I'm real sorry. I know what it's like to have a stressful, unfulfilling job that eats away at you. I think getting out of there was the best thing you could have done.

Aw I'm so sorry that you got fired... Call Centers are brutal with the hours and I don't blame you for needing some recovery time from it. You deserve (All call center employees do because that is one of the most stressful jobs ever, it's no wonder the turnover is so high). I wish you a safe and relaxing recovery *hug*

Dang!! I bet one of the more painful aspects of it was how fast it all happened, without much momentum to influence it.... well, good luck.

Sorry to hear that. It'll get better. At least you got more free time to hit the gym and beef yourself up. And who knows you'll come across the opportunity to get a job you like.
