Many folks I know that do it give it out after a shot, but it's up to you how many since I know you take lots. I appreciate it because in suit you can't tell who the cameraman is much of the time and otherwise you'll never find the picture unless they hunt you down.

As Lauren says above, it's not easy to see who's snapping a photo of you while in suit.
Sometimes, the photo that you've snapped, is the best photo snapped of the convention!
If it were me, I'd love to see the best photo of me, in the suit that I spent thousands for,
and I would appreciate the photographer who snapped the shutter button.

As for me, I've actually made some business cards. I'm by no means any kind of photographer.
but some times, I'm with a friend and there's no one else to snap the photo, so as much as
I hate the world "selfie" lol, it's the only way. Every time we see that photograph from then
on, it takes us right back to the moment that it was snapped. Good times!

Here's an example of the simple business card that I made. So that when I've made a friend,
it's just easier than fumbling around, looking for a pen and paper. Just pull one out, and done!

Thanks! That is certainly something to consider. Where do you get those made? I don't have a printer, so I can't make them at home.

There was a time when it was the norm to carry some business cards, regardless of what one did for a living. It's just a quick and easy way to give someone your contact info. You should get some. I got mine from moo.com

I actually thought of the reverse of that. I been thinking of getting my own business cards made and whenever someone takes a picture of me, hand them the card so they can email the picture to me and/or let me know where it is.

It would be a nice thing to have a business card. Makes the task of looking for photos taken of us much easier.
It used to be the day when you always carry a card to hand to people. I still do it for my work.

When I snap a pic of someone, I usually snap a pic of their badges or con badge immediately after to keep track of who it is. Usually I can find their FA or Twitter based off that. If not, I upload it and someone will usually respond with who it is.

Even better would be if someone wrote their FA name or Twitter handle on the back of their con badge, that would be of benefit!

I did the reverse of this: *I* gave a card to the photographers. I tried it at AC this year for the first time. Sadly, it did not help in getting more photos after the con. D:
