I may be so excited that I may be about to wet myself.
For serious, I've got back into swing of things in work and such, there are at least two marks off Ze List and I'm sketching here and there where I can, so, y'know, time to at least say this >_>
Zendikar, the set in Magic, was one of THE iconic sets, now we're going back and SWEET PROGENITUS I NEED THOSE LANDS
Yeah, not just the Full Art Lands? Lands that are gorgeous, beautifully boarded and just all the bling you need to make your deck oh-so pretty, but the PREMIUM stuff, the stuff that apparently 1 in about 540 packs will be a FOIL, FULL ART VERSION of existing ridiculously expensive already lands
Which will now make these likely without exaggeration about 300 bucks each
That is going to be both SO satisfying to pull at a prerelease, or so heartbreaking to pull in a draft, knowing you then have to fight for your life to keep that card
Just, just, beautiful
Oh, then there's also this hiding freaking Eldritch horror thing that's out to get us all, so, Magic goes Attack on Titan thanks to Ulamog and his brood of Eldrazi spawn consuming us little by little
Massive shout goes to
Manarat for getting me somewhat hyped, and also to 
Scotskunk for showing me first hand how powerful allies can get, and now have both a PLANESWALKER and MECHANIC ventured around them
Dear me, I need to go lie down and digest this all, or maybe drag Jeri into the bedroom or something >_>

No I don't want to go to Valakut, I wanna just stay here where its safe *curdles up into adorable sand cat ball*
I started during the scars block, and had bad experiences with Jesus Jace.... and eldrazi temple.... and emrakul... and valakut.... and ob nixus....
There were a lot of powerful cards in that block, a whole whole lot.
But yessss, so much power to see in Zendikar, new Eldrazi, more landfall... I think Wizards have learnt not to make mistakes on cards that break standard, but now we get even more mistakes!
But, then again, remember that time that Bilbo got harassed by a wizard, told him he wasn't going to leave his home then stayed there until the world was consumed by darkness? =o
Nope, we gotta do this, we gotta stop those Eldritch horrors!
I know their weaknesses! And, plus, effigy isn't in standard to worry about, lol
It's the many many absurd land bases we need to worry about cost XD

How long were you a player?
Hope you kept them safe and all, you just taking a breather from the game, or full out quite? =x
I finally quit because someone who I thought was a friend ended up harassing me over my new EDH/Commander deck, standing there doing it for half an hour in front of the gaming store owner without them doing a thing about it, finally I yelled at them to leave me alone, and got banned for doing so for "Throwing a tantrum", which they then proceeded to spread lies about on their facebook page, making it look like I was the one in the wrong. Even my brother won't talk to me now because of it, so yeah, I have little interest in a game that basically caused me to lose most of my friends.
In game fighting is something that I'm fortunate to say I've seen very little of, but our store's fairly laid back, and it's fairly casual
It's hard for me to imagine just how quickly that spiralled out from there, but hope that at least you and your brother can connect back up sometime soon
Whatever happened, there's not much that can be said now after the fact, but, if nothing else I wish you well in finding something new to give your time, dedication and - hopefully - be rewarded appropriate with new people to call your friends
