Short Art Hiatus
Yes, dear folks. You read it right. Due some crazy complications with my aging computer, it left me unable to scan new sketches and left me unable to work on any new art. Now I know what you're gonna say, "But hey, you got your Cintiq 22HD Touch! You can just draw new stuff at your very comp." Truth to be told, I haven't picked it up from its package yet because I don't trust my computer enough to use it. You see, I had my computer in my possession for more than 5 years now, which is the longest I ever had with any computer, and it has developed a list of strange complications over the years.
The plugin becomes sluggish and makes all the FLASH-related programs to crash. This is the problem I had the longest with my computer.
The fan impairs and gathers dust within the circuits. Left it at some technicians to it cleaned once and my comp lost its leg when I got it back. Welp, I won't get back there again.
The computer could not turn on the power saving mode. It blackens out for a bit, then it turns back on again after a second.
My computer could not communicate with the EPSON printer. I've tried to re-wire it and tried various sockets. Nada. Eventually, I uninstalled the program entirely and re-installed it, which ultimately led me to the very last issue that sealed my computer's fate.
The CD/DVD drive is gone from the computer. That's right, the drive has completely vanished from the very system for some twisted reason.
I swear, I'm starting to believe that these issues are something phenomenological. I tried and tried again to fix these problems, I've went and looked through several tutorials at Youtube with no luck. To commission repairs would cost me just as much for a whole new computer.
To be honest, despite this much frustrations and mind-numbingly puzzlement over this, I am actually quite calm. I have long expected that my comp would eventually give away and I had long made plans to purchase a new one. But I'm also a bit sad. Like I said before, I had this comp longer than any previous ones I had (with usual lifespan of 1-2 years) and it still runs good despite its complications. And I still have a few pics that I have scanned earlier I have yet to finish. ....That and the success of the Swat Kats Revolution Kickstarter has left me incredibly jolly. ^v^
But in any case, there will be a hiatus until I got myself a new comp. Till then, have a pleasant day.
