You think people will live longer in our lifetime?
Just thinking about it.... all the advances we are making faster and faster
We know what makes us age, genetic damage over time.. there is like a buffer for it then when that is worn away are cells start to copy wrong
Some of the longer living species have ether active stem cell production, or cellular regeneration. We are doing stem cell research and we only need to find a way to turn production back on, and it looks like there may have been a time people didn't stop producing stem cells some time durring early childhood....
Also they have cracked what drives cellular regeneration and everything has it....its just not active for that particular purpose and only serves to hold cells together rather than reconstruct them.... but if we can find a way to turn that stuff back on it would mean people would pritty much make a full recovery from anything they can live through. O.o. there some parts of the body it is active and they took active material from a pig ground it upinto a powder and sprinkled it on some guys chopped off finger and it grew back...... and he had feeling in it and it bad the same finger print his old finger had. O.o
Toy and get this they couldn't get the ok for medical trials so they gave everything they had to the military for field tests.. it saved some lives here and there but what it really did was save the quality of lives. You would not believe how many people got saved from amputations by that stuff.... wildest one was some guy had his whole inner thigh mussel blown off by an IED, nothing of the mussel was left, and repeatied allocation grew back 70% or so (was some number over but it was 70something) of it back......It looks like his leg is mummified or something.... i mean the skin is all warped and stuff, there limits i guess in things growing back right and that was far ro much lost at once for pictures from pigs to fix lol.... but he would have never walked again and probably lost the leg.....instead he just nedded some physical therapy due to the loss of mass and he was walking just fine
Oh yah best part about that 'pixydust' its cheep as hell..... they scrap it off a layer of skin inside the pigs blatter. ...parts butchers literaly throw away, so it only cost as much as hey don't throw that away I'll give you _____ a piece if you save them for me.....and wages for some people to cut, peal, and scrape them

Well, technically the first people who will grow older than 100 before actual physical decline sets in should be born right now...

OP
If tech progresses that way and its not hoarded by the rich....probably

that depends on how long our lifetime is going to be! I mean, if people ARE going to live longer then that includes us, which gives it that much more time to be true in... I think...
