We had that not too long ago but it turned out to be a fault undergound so half our garden was dug up. We were off the grid for 3 days x.x hopefully yours does not last as long as that! Just whatever you do o.o don't open the fridge or freezer o.o

Oh gosh! Hope it get's fixed fast. It didn't happen to us.

If you lost breakers and wiring, it was lightning. A brownout will wreck high-load 240V electric motors like central air conditioning; surges can hose your electronics. However multiple circuit breakers getting damaged - That's a lightning strike.

My wife's cousin lived near Ann Arbor, and they nearly lost his house about 15 years ago from a direct hit; It cracked the chimney from the top straight down to the basement, burned most of the wiring, and almost destroyed everything that was plugged in. The insurance company helped them with the $40K-60K repair bill. Sometimes the 'big one' happens.

That blows. =/ Hopefully you don't do a whole lot of home cooking.

Lol just about everything I eat is home cooked.

After a recent kitchen upgrade when we had to cut out the power there, I've been trying to get more efficient about other sources when it happens.

I hope you are able to get this fixed soon!! I home cook a lot myself and would probably have an anxiety attack. >.>

Ouch, that sucks. I hope everything is covered under insurance.
