Yeaaaaa. That's not the part that made me raise a brow tbh. Bones are bones. But the fact they empty the crypts every 5 years. That's like. I donno, awkward ina way but understandable.

Actually graveyards are always a huge issue for large population areas.

Yeah I guessed as much. I always wondered what they do with them when there are wayyyy too many ppl to bury. Educational. Cheers for the vid.

It's also more the health concerns than 'bones are bones' as in some of the images shown the skeletal remains often still had bits of rotting flesh (etc.) on them. Granted I realize there's more than just this issue in that area to look at. I'll admit it does seem like a drop in the hat when looked at as a whole, but I've come to find a 'one at a time' approach (while still maintaining a sense of the big picture) helps to keep away the negative-cynicism that these issues can cause.

My Filipino friend I talk with talks a lot about the slums in Manila. He doesn't live in them, he lives a better life than most in the Philippines, but he is very passionate about how he feels about the whole slum situation.

I'll show him this, see if he can give me further insight.

Heck, people still live amongst the graves in New Orleans cemeteries as well. And i the French Catacombs.
