Whats interesting is I have friends, not furry, but furry aware and whom have their shizz together I hang with sometimes. They homeschool, and their kids are the brightest, most well adjusted kids that excel in their age group vs. the same age group in public school. Yet, they are a swinging couple. and host kink aware parties. The kids are insulated from this - not like they flaunt it in front of them, but regardless, a furry couple homeschooling and doing a good job is not outside the realm of being a better environment. Homeschooling in general is a better environment actually than what public edu ma cation has become.

I myself was home-schooled and will most likely home-school my child (when/if that time comes) And i won't push anything (except schoolwork) but he/she will know about me and my side along with my wifes, and can decide for themself.

I used some of the same stuff was used used in local schools (public and private). We were often able to get deals from local distributors to get discounted teachers packets and student books in return for advertising/selling for them.

Some hands on stuff that does not happen due to permits and such, but then i've taken Chem in college and there was no hands on lab. I learned more chem in Biology ad the local community college. Then geology, astronomy n such dont require a lab. Plus my grandfather was a Geologist and took me on digs.

It's just not the same.

Nothing that requires it to be hands on unless your wanting to go into Chemistry. I was never particularly interested in Chem, so it wasn't an issue.

You're really angling on one small aspect of home-schooling. When it seems you actually have very little knowledge or experience with home-schooling. I was in public and private schools aside from being home-schooled. While I may have disliked home-schooling cause it meant being around my parents more, it got me out of the public schools (where i'd be ganged up on and held back by teachers). Additionally, being home-schooled allowed me to do more activities with the church groups and Scouts than would have been possible had I been in school.

If I had been homeschooled I wouldn't be doing what I am doing now. I'm glad I wasn't homeschooled.

You do not know that. Homeschooling is not what lead me to my current career path/choice, it was my class choices in college.

I only took one type of class when I entered university because I was sure of what I wanted to do. :3
