Okay, it's time for a chat, because that Taylor Swift song was stuck in my head ALL of yesterday, and because I'm waiting for some songs to download on Rock Band.

Now, I have no problems with seeing Romeo and Juliet as an incredibly romantic story, because it can be (although let's face it, it's largely about teenage lust more than love); I know I still get shmoofy seeing the Baz Luhrmann version. But it's also a TRAGEDY; in fact, that's it's first and foremost reason for being. THEY END UP DEAD. In fact, SEVERAL people end up dead. "Never was a story of more woe" is how it wraps up. WOE. So please don't compare your silly high school crush to R+J; just because you two are in different homerooms and you have a curfew is not the same as your families having a blood vendetta against each other. Unless the UNIVERSE ITSELF is conspiring to make your lives end up as shitty as possible after you've had a brief flirtation of a romance, you're just making yourself look silly.
