Prices
Prices are given in the form of quotes, however, on average it is about $40 per character give or take. In order to give you the best price estimate, I will need a good description of what you want done.
Here are some questions you should consider:
-Who do you want drawn? Do you already have a ref sheet? If not, describe them in as much detail as you can, including a bit of their personality.
-Do you want a background? If so, do you have a preference? Is there a theme or genre? Such as modern, medieval, scifi, etc.
-Will the character(s) be clothed? If so what are they wearing?
-Do you want the character(s) drawn in a specific pose or do you want to leave it up to the artist?
-SFW or NSFW?
Payment Policy
I only take payment through Paypal
I DO take payment plans. However, I will only produce what you pay for. So if you want something that will cost $100, but only pay me in increments of $20, I will only do $20 worth of work before/after each payment.
Due to the possibility of art blocks and shoulder pain, I prefer not to take payment until I am ready to begin your commission. This gives us both leeway. I feel less pressure and you can back out at anytime before I get started.
Although I usually work on commissions in order of inquiry, sometimes I may not feel up to doing a large commission so I will skip to a smaller one to get it out of the way. Or perhaps I find commission B more interesting than commission A. Or maybe I am in the mood to draw something fluffy and commission D has something fluffy where commission B is not. I hope I am making sense to you lol
I will also occasionally work on my own stuff to break monotony. My goal is to prevent art block and to keep a steady workflow.
As far as refunds go, I do not offer refunds for low satisfaction. The reason being is that I send a plethora of WIPS to make sure I am doing everything right. I do not move on until I get the OK. If I finish, and you are suddenly not happy with it and demand a refund, you will not get it and I will blacklist you. If I begin work and something comes up and you need your money back, I will give you a percentage based on what I have already completed.
Sketch phase 20% completed - 80% refund
Outline phase 40% completed - 60% refund
Flat color phase 60% completed - 40% refund
Shading phase 80% completed - 20% refund
Final touches/lighting effects 100% completed - 0% refund
Process
If I have a list, I will let you know each time I finish a commission so you know I am getting closer to yours. And of course I will inform you when i am ready to start yours. On average, overall wait time from the time you contact me to the time I am able to start is usually about a month if I have a 4-5 commissions lined up. Once it gets to your turn, depending on complexity it can be a day to a week, barring any outside interruptions. If anything should happen to extend the time it will take to finish, I will let you know.
Trades/Requests/Free Art
Please do not ask for trades or requests/free art. I do trades/free art OCCASIONALLY but on MY TERMS. Free art is generally done in the form of raffles. I will not trade with anyone. Your art must be comparable to mine and I need to like your style. I do not do trades as a cop-out for free art. I expect something of equal value in return.
My Rights and Yours
I own rights to the artwork I produce. You own all rights to your character. Here is what you can and cannot do.
You CAN:
Share the art you commissioned anywhere you'd like. I would greatly appreciate it if credit me. Ex. “Artist is Bloodwing (FA handle is Simona)” You do not have to provide a link but it would be appreciated.
If you decide to give your character up, please credit any art that was commissioned by me. I’d also appreciate it if you let me know that the character is changing ownership and who it is going to. That way if I see someone other than you using it, I will not “correct” them. This is not a must, but again, would be appreciated.
You CANNOT:
Claim you are the artist
Remove my watermark
Edit without my permission (this includes lineart. If you want to color it, please ask so that I can give you the lineart with a transparent background)
Etiquette
To put it bluntly, I am adult. And I only do business with adults. I’m friendly enough, but If you cannot conduct yourself in a mature semiprofessional manner, I will be annoyed and not as pleasant as I can be. I have the right to turn you down for any reason. I don’t mind joking around a little. But there are some things that really irk me.
Things I do NOT like
Do not talk to me as if we are roleplaying. This is business. Leave all *barks/meows/sqawks/roars/etc* at the door.
No whining or “poor me I have no money” talk.
No baby/kid talk. I hate kids. As mentioned previously, do not talk to me as if we are roleplaying. So if your sona is a kid, leave them at the door.
You can talk to people that have commissioned me in the past. I send WIPs WHEN I have made progress. I will update you WHEN I have made progress. If I have not given you an update, I have not made any progress. Asking me everyday is not going to change that and will only aggravate me. I have never scammed anyone. Everyone that has commissioned me has received their art.
Things I DO like
Someone that knows what they want. I do not want to hear “How much for some art of my sona?” How should I know? What do you want?
If you have an idea for a pose but do not know how to describe it, I would appreciate art or models of people in pose you have in mind. I want to create what you want to the best of my ability!
If you decide you want to recommend me to friends or others, I would appreciate it if you guide them to my TOS.
Thank you for reading! My goal is to produce what others cannot to the best of my ability. Drawing is my passion. I love to create my own characters and bring others to life. When I am commissioned, my goal is to make the customer happy. I am very flexible and I always keep you up to date with WIPs and I am even willing to stream for you. This allows me to make corrections along the way if I have any misunderstandings. I strive to make everything as perfect as possible within my skill range. If you have any questions that are not answered to your satisfaction in my TOS, feel free to send me a note here or on my Facebook page Bloodwing's Den
