Beginner Artists
10 years ago
Now I am not here to get an enote but I just want to express how I see things and how I feel to all of the beginner artists out there.
I’m starting to see how we are. We are working to become a better artist and to share our art to the world as well. And when we see art that we like, we comment on it, like it and tell the artist how we feel. Now here is what I am starting to realize now. Hear me out, idk if you feel the same way on this. But when we message a professional artist that we truly desire to become as good as they are one day, we wait…….. And wait…….. And wait…….. And wait till they answer back but no answer. But when you come across their page, you saw them posting another art, or talking to someone else. And it hurts you that you are a big fan of there work but you being treated like an outsider, like you don’t even exist, or they are high and mighty and just a beginner and you shouldn’t be talking to them. I get that all the time. Being ignored when I just want an artist that I really like to speak to about how can I improve, or just to have a conversation with because you may not know but a message from you (professionals) can really make there day and you don’t know how happy they will be to hear from you.

Now here is what I find ironic. When we beginners get start to practice more, and then one day we hit our prime to the point we starting to like our own art and when we post it, we get comments, friend requests, and now we are the ones getting noticed now. And then maybe a month or so, the artist that you looked up to that hasn’t answered your message, nor acknowledge that you were there send you a request, or say nice art, etc. And your like “Really? Really? Really?” Like seriously really, but it’s your choice to accept them or treat them like they did you. This is how I feel on us artist being ignored.

I'm with ya, bro.
but you know what i do? i don't go to many other artists, i treat my fans like they're other artists because they're where i get my motivation from (like many artists most likely) but i love talking with my watchers and so cause they're cool people too :p
The worst part is when a beginner artist friend of yours starts getting popular and then they tell you they are not interested in talking to you anymore because they are "busy" talking to their admirers. Happened to me more than once : (
Artist Do This All The Time.
Second;
Sometimes they may look at the Note, Read the note, Figure out what to say.
But by the time they Figure out what to Say, They forget to message because they have so much
Going on in reality. You have to remember,
A1. They're only human
A2. They make mistakes
A3. They forget things just like the rest of us, with short attention spans.
That being said. They may not reply then and there, so you have the option to
B1. Keep trying to contact them and get through to them
B2. Draw art for them, and then ask them. That usually gets their attention.
B3. Find a new teacher/person to admire that is willing to give you the affection you want as far as
being taught how to draw and such. One person isn't all there is to the world. There are many teachers out there.
Third;
If you do unto them what they do unto you.
You are No better than them.
You'll basically be a Hypocrite and You then are teaching Your watchers that it is OK
to do this. Which it isn't. It's rude. Even if they did it to you, Learn to be the bigger person. :^)
Simple as that.
Goodness over rules Evilness.
