Online friendships
This was my english homework n.n Write about online friendships using "however/while/but". And I said "hey, this looks like a journal, lets make it one xD"
In this days when the internet is a very important part of our lifes, it's natural for us to socialize using this tool. The social networks are the best example for this. Some people says that a "friend via online" it's not a real friend, but just a person that you know. However, I like to consider certain persons as friends, even if we can't met outside the internet because of the distance.
On the one hand, people can think that, in order to can consider someone a friend, you must know this person in person. They say that an "online friend" is just a contact that you have, even if you talk daily and have a lot of things in common. If haven't met him/her in person this person is not real, therefore, the friendship does not exist.
On the other hand, friendship doesn't know about distances. You can live in Mexico and have a friend in France or U.S. You can talk to him/her, via text or even with a video call. You don't must know him/her in person to consider him/her your friend. As long as you have common interests (and you both agree) you can consider yourselves "friends".
In conclusion, while some people can think that an online friend is not a real friend, what matter is your (and your friend's) opinion. In my opinion, friendship is magic and it can overcome the frontier of the distance. I've met great friends in the internet that I ended meeting in person. And friends in the internet that, if I met them outside of the internet or not, they'll continue being my friends.
