I'm not having any issues with the thumbnails anymore but I am getting agitated at it being in read-only mode. I like to browse the new submissions in my downtime and I can't do that when there aren't any. :/

It's out of read-only now, though posting rush-hour is more around 6-12 PM CEST from what I can tell. So everyone's asleep at the moment :p

My page is still showing Read Only across the top. :/ Oh well. *shrugs*

A) If its broke, fix it. If its still broke, claim that its been fixed.

But Fer, you know the outward appearance doesn't matter. The inside is, what is important.

The inside is just as shit as the outside, if not more so, when it comes to FA.

Look, I've got a Baccalaureate in Computer Science and worked in Information Technology over 25 years. "Resolved" roughly translated means "We're looking at it and think we might have a clue, but we're going to turn it off and on again to see if that fixes it."

It just take a wile for there system to rebuild the thumbnail's as its requiring user activity to do it. If you think you can do better become and admin for FA
I run a server of my own and I can say its a pain in the ass when it decides to not behave like normal

Thumbnails? Um... they seem to be variable at best on good days....

Because it will probably change again, here's the current notice:

Administrator notice:
The thumbnail storage drive array came down with a filesystem corruption and has been reformatted. Due to this the data server now has to regenerate all of the previews, which happens on first request. Thumbnails will be loading slower than usual for the duration, which can take a few days. No user data has been lost.
We will continue to monitor the site performance and availability.

i think they meant the corruption problem was solved, not the thumbnails ^^;

But the full view seems to be down almost completely on a lot of images... shit
