Commissions?
Okay I brought this up in the patreon questions journal but here it is again.
If I'm going to keep drawing here on FA with any frequency I'm going to have to do commissions from time to time. I have no money to get art, cleaning, or health supplies and I don't think I'll be able to juggle full time college, personal life, and drawing online if I throw a job into the mix.
I'm talking to a few pals to try and find out prices I'll set but more than likely after I finish these last two YCHs I'm going to set up some sort of commissions.
PLEASE feel free to tell me what you think about prices or anything else under this journal, I would love to hear from yall.

So, go with the kind you'd want to continually do, and compare with others from there. You might want to ask for lower price at first to attract new Customer and then resume back to normal price.
In all cases, it's a touchy subject, with some artist being royally pissed of at others that ask a lower price, saying that it devaluate arts. There's no good or bad answer(unless you answer FISH!) here...
In all cases, good luck! If you're able to get throught with these commission instead of having to get a part-time job you don't like, you will do lots of jealous!
The basic test is "how much time, from first contact to final posting, does it take to do X?" With that, you have a formula for how much you can change per commission type.
As the general rule, your basic level should be set to minimum wage ($9ish an hour); from there, sky's the limit.
I try not to talk about prices.
